Morfologi sungai merupakan salah satu faktor yang menentukan dalam proses terjadinya gerusan. Proses penggerusan terjadi dapat diakibatkan karena kondisi morfologi dan adanya bangunan seperti pilar jembatan menghalangi aliran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecepatan aliran terhadap gerusan di sekitar jembatan. menggunakan metode empiris dilakukan besarnya kedalaman Bentuk dianalisis adalah lenticular atau kapsul dengan lebar 1 m.
